Regional Office for West and Central Africa Bulletin - Central Emergency Response Fund, Second Quarter 2013
[OCHA] The United Nations Cenral Emergency Response Fund (CERF) has allocated over the last three months a total of US$19.8 million to Central African Republic (CAR), Chad, Congo, Mali and Senegal. This brings to $47.9 million the total amount allocated so far in 2013 to West and Central Africa.

Karen Women Loses Leg in Landmine Incident
[Burma News International] A Karen woman, Naw Ma Pain, 41-, who lives in Htee Kyar Mae village in Waw Lay area, Myawaddy Township, Karen State, stepped on the landmine on early May that resulted in the amputation of her leg.


Switzerland to Destroy Munitions Stocks
[] Switzerland has given the job of destroying its landmine and cluster munitions stocks to a Germany company and work will begin later in 2013 to eliminate them.


MineWolf Systems News
[MineWolf System] A MineWolf (MW370) platform and MineWolf Systems’ team deployed to Turkey at the beginning of June on a rental contract with the short term task to mechanically clear lines for a seismic survey to be conducted.
