[MACCA] The Mine Action Coordination Centre of Afghanistan (MACCA) has conducted a mine action and livelihoods survey to enhance the knowledge of the programme’s impact on development and livelihoods of affected communities.

MYANMAR: Humanitarian Snapshot (July 2013)
[OCHA] The number of registered IDPs staying in camps across Kachin and northern Shan reached approximately 87,000, including over 50,000 (58.5 per cent) in areas beyond Government control.

Colombia
United States Contributes to OAS Humanitarian Demining Activities in Colombia
[OAS] The U.S. Department of State's Office of Weapons Removal and Abatement has renewed its support to the Organization of American States' program for Comprehensive Action against Antipersonnel Mines with a contribution of 950,000 dollars to assist in clearance of several mine-affected areas in Colombia.

[DCA] In Lebanon, DCAs Humanitarian Mine Action teams are clearing explosive remnants of war (ERW) contaminating valuable areas of land. DCA is working to remove and destroy the dangerous items so that the local population can utilize the land for improved socio-economic development.

[CMC] Cluster Munition Coalition (CMC) members from around the world are today celebrating three years of the Convention on Cluster Munitions’ life-saving achievements and calling on countries who have not done so already, to join the global ban immediately.
