At Clear Path, we serve landmine and bomb accident survivors, their families and their communities in former war zones in Southeast Asia. This assistance takes the form of medical and social services to survivors and their families and equipment support to local hospitals. Our current projects are in Vietnam, Cambodia and on the Thai-Burma border. In Vietnam, Clear Path International works with accident survivors and their families to determine the most effective and efficient source of assistance. CPI works in partnership with six provinces throughout the Central Region and is negotiating partnership agreements with numerous other provinces nationwide. The Cambodian program is implemented in partnership with local NGO, Cambodian Volunteers for Community Development. Together the organizations coordinate and implement vocational training for accident survivors and family members in Kompong Cham Province. Burmese refugees fleeing into Thailand are quite often suffering from complications due to landmine accidents. CPI supports one medical clinic and two small prosthetic workshops along the border to produce and fit accident survivors with prosthetics.
