Abyei youth and women’s group representatives joined UNISFA peacekeepers for an evening cultural fete organized at the mission headquarters in Abyei.
The festivities were the final event in activities organized by the newly reconfigured Multinational Peacekeeping Force to commemorate UN Peacekeepers Day.
The event was marked with a celebration of diverse cultural music, displays and dance by the peacekeepers and local community. Those present got to sample food prepared by the different contingents.
