The Special Representative of the Secretary-General and Head of UNMIK, Mr. Zahir Tanin, welcomed the Head of the Liaison Office of the Slovak Republic, Mr. Rastislav Kostilník, at UNMIK Headquarters on 11 February 2019.
The SRSG briefed Mr. Kostilník on the work of UNMIK, including the Mission’s recalibrated approach and its focus on people-to-people engagement and trust-building in Kosovo. They also discussed recent political developments in Kosovo and the prospect of the European Union-facilitated dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina.
